I am running for the Menomonee Falls School Board as an experienced educator with real solutions for our schools. Here’s what I’ll prioritize:

Increase Educator Input in Decision-Making

Educators are the cornerstone of our education system; they are entrusted with the care and development of our children every day.
Educators’ knowledge and expertise must be central in decision-making.
Educators' insights are essential for understanding what truly supports student success.
Currently, educators are increasingly excluded from decision-making, with top-down mandates replacing collaborative approaches.

Integrate Learning & Well-Being

Every student deserves a supportive, caring environment that nurtures their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual well-being. Learning is deeply rooted in emotion; without a sense of belonging and safety, students cannot fully thrive academically.
With children spending seven hours a day in school, it’s crucial to prioritize all the ways children develop—not just academics.
Every student deserves caring, consistent adults to support their growth, requiring collaboration among parents, educators, and district leaders.
Ultimately, integrating learning and well-being will help students grow into productive, successful members of society.

Balance Perspective on the Board

A healthy school board reflects diverse perspectives and avoids becoming an echo chamber. Currently, our board is imbalanced, with members sharing similar opinions and ideologies.
To truly represent our community, we need a board that balances differing viewpoints to create policies that work for all educators, parents, and students.
I recognize that serving on the school board is a responsibility to represent and serve all community members–parents, taxpayers, and residents–of Menomonee Falls.

My campaign is rooted in my experience as a teacher, plus my passion for & value in:

Healthy Development of Children

I deeply care about the well-being, development, and rights of children.

I am committed to ensuring every child has access to a safe, supportive, and equitable environment for growth.
I fight for policies that promote children's health, education, and well-being.
I am compassionate, empathetic, and persistent, and seek to break down barriers and provide resources that allow all children to thrive.

Importance of Public Education in Our Society

I believe in the fundamental value of accessible, high-quality education for all students, regardless of ability, background or socioeconomic status.

I advocate for strengthening public schools, recognizing their importance in building an informed, engaged, and equitable society.
I work towards ensuring public schools receive the necessary resources, funding, and support to meet the diverse needs of students.
I value the role of educators and staff, and recognize their expertise and dedication in shaping the next generation.
